Job responsibilities:

• Assemble components using hand and power tools
• Align, position, and fasten parts into assemblies and subassemblies
• Install wire labels and device tags
• Read and interpret job orders and production instructions
• Track work in the Epicor ERP system
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Inspect completed units for quality, accuracy, and customer requirements
• Identify wire gauges, colors, and ampacities
• Use measuring tools (tape measure) for accuracy
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical assembly
• Help troubleshoot production issues with team members
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow PPE requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect components and sub-assemblies being produced.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
• Limited understanding of PLC, VFD and Circuit Breakers.
• Understand and know the differences between NEMA ratings of enclosures.
• Knowledgeable of identifying wire gauges, colors and understanding ampacities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
