Senior Accounting Manager

Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting Policy Hybrid: 3 days office, remote 2 days, Summer Fridays Industry: Manufacturing / Health Sciences Salary: Total compensation to $200K includes bonus and equity Benefits: Generous retirement plan and generous PTO! Location: Iselin NJ area (hybrid) HYBRID Role! Open due to internal movement. The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting will possess a CPA, 6+ years’ technical accounting experience and Big4 / Top Regional public accounting experience. Responsibilities Provide guidance and direction globally for accounting and reporting needs, including business combinations, revenue, treasury matters, divestitures etc. Write white papers and external reporting considerations relating to these transactions. Monitor and interpret the impact of new accounting/reporting regulations on the company. Lead efforts to implement proposed accounting standards, including meeting key stakeholders. Support lease accounting and related disclosures and prepare select financial reporting requirements. Train key stakeholders and develop content on new accounting standards Establish, maintain and document standard accounting practices and procedures. Develop procedures and recommends changes in practices to assure compliance with regulators Qualifications BS/BA degree in Accounting; CPA required 6+ years of demonstrated technical accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm Well versed in ASC 606 – Revenue Recognition and the impact on the pharma industry Experience with performing technical accounting evaluations and preparing related white papers At WatsonBarron, we share a philosophy when it comes to recruiting - focus on people.
