Software Engineer (LIS or LIMS)We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer for a contract position in Madison, WI. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software components. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions using various programming technologies.Focus on improving software design and collaboration with peers. Understand all software components and drive tasks to completion. Design, develop, test, and maintain software of moderate complexity. Work collaboratively on cross-functional agile teams. Develop, enhance, and sustain software systems. Create engineering specifications for software programs. Determine development methodologies based on documented requirements.Demonstrate theories and practices to accomplish assignments. Build features, investigate and fix bugs, and write tests. Initiate independent software design with guidance. Communicate project status updates to the team. Build productive internal collaborative partnerships.Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in software development. Experience with object-oriented programming and web technologies. Familiarity with relational databases and cloud-based frameworks. Experience with Linux, CI/CD, and development tools.Java | APIs | HTML | JavaScript | CSS | SQL | AWS | Linux | CI/CD | Git
