Location This role is an on‑site position at our U.S. headquarters in Wellesley, MA. We support flexible work arrangements across the contiguous United States. The Opportunity The Events & Experience Specialist supports Sun Life’s hospitality service program, coordinating in‑person meetings, hybrid events, and employee experience services. The specialist provides expert knowledge to meet corporate objectives, quality standards, and business goals for our employee experience program. How you will contribute Work onsite daily at the Wellesley site, ensuring a smooth workplace experience for employees and guests. Coordinate event and meeting logistics, including space booking, catering, vendor communication, safety planning, and post‑event reporting. Collaborate with Corporate Real Estate to monitor hospitality experiences, support amenities, and make improvement recommendations. Assist guests at the Welcome Desk, handling impromptu support and last‑minute arrangements. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene, identifying hazards and addressing problems promptly. Work with audio‑visual and technology teams to troubleshoot self‑serve systems and raise support requests. Coordinate food and beverage programs, process invoices, reconcile payments, and recommend service improvements. Handle administrative tasks such as credit‑card reconciliations, purchase orders, chargebacks, and site inventory management. Ensure venue compliance with health, safety, fire, and building regulations; serve as a health and safety representative, fire warden, and provide onsite first aid. Drive continuous improvement to enhance process efficiency and deliver quality results. Travel up to 25% as needed. What you will bring with you Passion for corporate events and hospitality services with a proven track record of event planning and collaboration with production and technical teams. At least 2 years of customer‑service experience in hospitality environments. Outstanding attention to detail and a self‑starter attitude in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven settings. Strong relationship‑building skills with stakeholders, vendors, staff, and teammates. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn databases, CRM systems, and virtual event platforms. Experience tracking expenses and reconciling receipts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform equipment set‑up and teardown. Hospitality industry certifications such as Food Handling, First Aid/CPR, or willingness to complete them. Flexibility to work shifting hours, including early mornings or evenings. Experience in a corporate setting. Preferred skills Knowledge of AV industry equipment and terminology. Knowledge of customer‑service standards. Salary $54,400 – $81,600. Base salary depends on skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award.
