Site Reliability Engineer II About the Role This role focuses on enhancing system reliability and scalability for PROS’s platform, contributing to automation and self‑service tool development. The engineer will optimize performance, monitor service reliability, implement SLOs, conduct capacity analysis, and support automation deployment. Responsibilities Monitor service performance, troubleshoot production issues, and deepen understanding of system architecture. Participate in resolving basic reliability issues and learn disaster recovery testing procedures. Understand and analyze SLO concepts, monitor patterns, and assist in visualization and alerting. Perform capacity analysis, identify trends, and contribute to capacity planning. Deploy and maintain existing automation tools, create simple scripts, and troubleshoot automation scripts. Required Qualifications 5+ years of enterprise networking experience, hands‑on work with routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies. Strong understanding of cloud networking architectures including VPC/VNet design, peering, private link, and hybrid connectivity. Experience with network security technologies such as security groups, ACLs, firewall policies, WAF, IDS/IPS, and micro‑segmentation. Proficiency in Layer2 and Layer3 protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and IP addressing/subnetting. Hands‑on experience with load balancers and ingress technologies (F5, NGINX, Azure Application Gateway, ALB/NLB, or equivalent). Strong troubleshooting skills using packet analyzers, flow logs, and network monitoring platforms. Skilled in analyzing performance trends and identifying optimization opportunities. Collaborate with teams to improve monitoring coverage and participate in structured reliability testing and analysis. Evaluate system components for resilience, contribute to reliability‑focused design discussions, and inform service improvements. Align SLOs with user expectations and develop moderately complex automation tools. Build internal self‑service capabilities, evaluate automation opportunities for operational efficiency, and analyze capacity data to inform scaling decisions. Recommend improvements for resource utilization and ensure scalability is considered in feature development. Follow predefined procedures to deploy PROS products and third‑party applications to the cloud and contribute to release management documentation. Gain an understanding of application architecture and interactions between system components. Highly Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Practical experience with Fortigate firewalls and F5 appliances. AI fluency and a growth mindset, including applying core AI concepts ethically, crafting effective prompts, managing autonomous agents, and leveraging AI tools to boost efficiency and innovation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
