What You'll Do As a Small Business Sale Representative, your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities and building relationships with local businesses. Responsibilities Prospect new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, email outreach, and other creative lead-generation strategies. Identify and connect with business owners and decision-makers. Schedule appointments for commercial insurance consultations. Build long-term relationships with prospective clients and referral partners. Learn clients' business operations and identify opportunities to provide insurance solutions. Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistently follow up with prospects. Collaborate with agency leadership to develop strategies for business growth. Utilize CRM systems to track activity, appointments, and sales opportunities. Meet and exceed individual sales and prospecting goals. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, outside sales, business development, or lead generation. Proven success with outbound prospecting and developing new business. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Competitive, self-motivated, and driven to achieve goals. Comfortable making cold calls and initiating conversations with business owners. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously. Proficient with computers and CRM software. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to businesses or commercial clients. Insurance experience is a plus but not required. Experience in industries such as payroll, staffing, office equipment, telecommunications, banking, merchant services, SaaS, or other consultative B2B sales is highly valued. Who Thrives in This Role?
