Registered Nurse (RN) Location: PRN Professional Jacksonville, FL, US Requisition ID: 11939, 2 days ago Position Summary This role is a PRN position located at Duval Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Jacksonville, Florida. A Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality care consistent with the scope of practice outlined by state nursing regulations. The RN works within local practice acts, delegates and supervises nursing activities to competent personnel as appropriate, and assumes responsibility for the quality of care delivered. The RN promotes a safe environment for staff and patients, acts as a patient advocate, and leads best practices within the nursing profession. Schedule PRN Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida Active CPR certification Knowledgeable of Florida state laws and regulations governing nursing practice Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies as required by the role Essential Functions Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions and side effects. Record patient medical information and vital signs. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient condition. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modify patient treatment plans based on patient response and condition. Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity. Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel, or supervise a specific unit. Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments. Instruct patients, families, or groups on health education and disease prevention topics, and develop health improvement programs. Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure adequate stock of supplies. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient condition. Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility.
