RecruitWell is seeking two Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a locum tenens position at MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is an ongoing assignment starting ASAP, offering scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role utilizes the Cerner EMR system and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced anesthetist to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team.

Provide anesthesia services in outpatient and inpatient settings

Perform regional blocks and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia (preferred experience)

Maintain call coverage with a 30-minute response time and 1:10 call ratio

Work weekends and be available for call duties

Practice independently and demonstrate clinical autonomy

Maintain comprehensive case logs for all procedures performed

Respond to beeper-based call system for clinical needs

Active New Mexico CRNA license (reactivation acceptable; new licensure takes approximately 6 months, existing licensure takes approximately 3 months)

Board certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Minimum one year of clinical experience

Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications

Proficiency in regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided regional blocks with documented case logs

Enrollment in the New Mexico Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) for credentialing and insurance purposes

Residence 90+ miles from the facility

Valid state DEA number

Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to explain any service gaps, malpractice claims, or sanctions from a board of nursing

Community Health Systems organization providing comprehensive healthcare services

Modern facility with Cerner EMR system

Supportive clinical environment with experienced nursing staff (20 RNs) and advanced practice colleagues (12 PA/NPs)

Temporary privileges available

Vendor-provided malpractice insurance

Orientation time available (up to 250 hours)

All providers must be contracted with the agency prior to placing a bid

Each bid submission must include: phone number, active license number, active state DEA number, board verification, email, address, DO/MD designation, and date of birth

Credentialing documents must be submitted within 14 days of bid acceptance or bid may be cancelled

Provider must complete CHS enrollment checklist and CAQH questionnaire

Temporary privileges may be available pending credentialing completion

No overtime rate available for this assignment

Training for blocks will not be provided; candidates must demonstrate existing proficiency with documented case logs
