Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in Georgia, requiring at least 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.

Details

• Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), Unit 5J, within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Unit capacity of 10–16 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy
• Heparin drip management is part of routine care
• 12-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
