RJ Daigle and Sons was founded in 1977 by RJ Daigle in the City of Kenner, La. We are a third-generation family owned andoperated asphalt paving contractor who specializes in highway and industrialconstruction as well as site development. Our main office is in Gonzales, La.

Position

We are currently searching for experienced Truck Driver to join our team of hardworking and dedicated employees.

Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated, determined, and hard working
  • 3-5 yrs. of experience as a Class A or B CDL Driver
  • Up to date Medical Card
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Experience in driving and operating a multi-functional truck
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to read and write
  • Able to perform simple math equations
  • Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to come to work every day and put in a full day's work

Job Duties

  • Ensure the safety of other employees and the public; comply with all safety initiatives, protocols, and procedures
  • Work in a team of truck drivers and construction crews looking to build quality projects safely
  • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance trucks
  • Drive truck to and from the jobsite loaded with materials
  • Clean truck at the end of everyday
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull 75 pounds
  • Follow all safety protocol
  • Communicate with all involved on work that is needed and or being done
  • Follow directions and think through problems that arise
  • Must be able to come to work every day and put in a full day's work
