Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread. Flynn Panera is built on a decentralized business model, which means that each geographic area is led by a Market Leader. Reporting to the ML are Area Directors, who are multiple unit operators, responsible for the overall functions of the cafés in their areas. Reporting to the Area Directors are the General Managers, who are the chief Café managers responsible for the overall running of their café. Assistant Managers support department operations and daily management responsibilities. The cafe leadership also includes Team Managers. We strive to hire only the best, starting with our leadership. Our leaders within Flynn Panera have over 190 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and 60 years with Flynn Group. Position Description Our Panera Bread cafes are upscale, friendly cafes which feature baked breads and pastries. We serve made‑to‑order soups, salads and sandwiches as well as specialty espresso beverages. No Fryers and No Late Nights. We’re known for our artisan breads, quality soups, salads and sandwiches which results in a grease and alcohol‑free environment for our associates. As a manager, this means no late nights, but we do hope you’re a morning person. Managers at our growing cafes supervise up to 75 staff members to ensure a top‑quality service experience for our guests. Provide outstanding leadership to your team, inspiring, coaching and counseling others. Create a profitable environment and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, safety, and facility management. Show passion for the industry and demonstrate excellent social skills. Maintain a steady, stable employment track record. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Restaurant management combines strategic planning, shift organization, and day‑to‑day management activities. At Panera Bread, restaurant management is fast paced, highly demanding and very rewarding. Typical work activities for a Team Manager include: Serve as a role‑model and lead the team. Ensure that team members provide great customer service. Take ownership of the business performance of the restaurant. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment following all safety and sanitation standards. Run quality opening, mid, and closing shifts ensuring a consistent positive customer experience. Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts. Greet customers and conduct table visits to ensure satisfaction. Recruit, train, and motivate staff. Assist the specialist within the bakery‑cafe, ensuring team members are properly trained and fully competent in all aspects of food service and customer support. Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines, cultural values, and ethical business practices. Exhibit a professional image. Promote and embody our values and beliefs as outlined on the Premier Card. Education and Experience At least 1–2 years of hospitality experience. Food management certifications are a plus. Must exhibit the "Run it Like you Own It" mentality. Excellent organization, customer service, and time management skills. Proven track record for leadership. Passion, energy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work well under pressure and with a diverse group of people. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Reference checks. Team Manager Compensation Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour Competitive wages plus tips, flexible work schedules, meal discounts, medical/dental/vision benefits, HSA, short/long term disability, life, hospital indemnity, critical illness, AD&D, legal, paid sick leave. Physical Standards Stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten hours. Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, or other items up to 50 pounds. Read and write to facilitate communication. Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
