Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, managing ventilation, and supporting patients across various settings. Key Responsibilities: Assess respiratory status through exams and breath sound interpretation. Provide evidence-based therapies such as oxygen support and aerosolized medications. Manage ventilation and airways, assist with airway placement, and respond to clinical changes. Educate patients and families, collaborate with care teams, and support stabilization of newborns when needed. Maintain and operate respiratory equipment ensuring safety and infection control standards. Qualifications: Associate Degree required; licensure as RRT/RCP in the state. Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications within 30 days of employment. Skills & Attributes: Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills, along with proficiency in respiratory technology and emergency response.
