Pay Rate: $21+/hr. DOE

Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday

• 1st - 6:00am-2:30pm OR 7:00am-3:30pm
• 2nd - 2:00-10:30pm OR 3:00-11:30pm
• 3rd - 10:00pm-6:30am OR 11:00pm-7:30am

Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49001


Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Packaging Specialist to work on-site with our client, the world's largest producer of medicine and vaccinations for pets and livestock. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.


Job Description:

• Provide packaging services of pharmaceuticals products in accordance to work schedule
• Inspect to ensure that packaged products are in acceptable physical conditions for the clients and consumers; inspect products from packaging lines with respect to the labels, lot number, expiration dates and products physical quality
• Perform product bulk filling
• Operate packaging equipment and machinery
• Assist in the cleaning and assembly of equipment
• Maintain registry of the destroyed printed material during the manufacturing process
• Pack and palletize
• Shrink wrap skid product
• Prepare product for destruction
• Must stay within GMP compliance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Basic math, English communication skills, legible penmanship, and reading comprehension
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Basic use of Microsoft applications and general computer skills
• Effective interpersonal communication and a positive outlook
• Basic mechanical skills and experience in the use of various hand tools
• Experience in a Lean Production and/or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of cGMPs and production practices
• Reliable transportation and good attendance/time management skills

Physical Requirements:

• Routine lifting of 20-50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Flexible hours and overtime may be required
• Manual dexterity and ability to keep up with pace of production standards
• Work Environment: Colleague could be exposed to airborne particles, including cephalosporin. Must work near moving mechanical parts. Eye protection and other personal protective equipment are required
