Key Qualifications:

• Certification and active registration as a CT Technologist.
• Proficiency in CT imaging, including the use of computerized tomographic equipment.
• Experience with general diagnostic radiology is a plus.
• Ability to administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for patient reactions.
• Strong understanding of radiation protection principles and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) techniques.
• Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System) operations.
• Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to patient education and reassurance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Educate and prepare patients for CT exams, explaining procedures clearly.
• Review patient clinical data and requisitions to determine appropriate imaging studies.
• Set up equipment, replenish necessary supplies, and maintain procedure rooms.
• Analyze each patient's anatomy, selecting proper equipment settings for effective image acquisition.
• Administer contrast media, monitor patient status, and respond promptly to adverse reactions.
• Assist in sterile procedures, such as biopsies, in collaboration with radiologists.
• Ensure image quality, appropriately upload and index studies in PACS and RIS.
• Follow clinical protocols and maintain meticulous documentation in medical and radiology information systems.
