Lotus Village Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to residents with chronic and complex respiratory conditions, helping to improve their comfort, independence, and quality of life.

What You'll Do
Assess and monitor residents' respiratory status, including oxygen saturation, lung sounds, airway function, and overall respiratory health.
Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, inhaled medications, and other prescribed respiratory treatments.
Perform chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques to support respiratory function.
Educate residents and families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, equipment use, and medication management.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, and resident progress.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations related to respiratory care.
Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional resident care.
What We're Looking For
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Active North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
Current NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) .
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility needs.
Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or hospital settings preferred.
Knowledge of chronic respiratory diseases, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
