Summary: The Utility Associate performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties while assisting with the preparation of food items, as instructed.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of cleaning and organizing activities to include, but not limited to:
• Scrapes, stacks and loads pots, pans, dishes, trays, silverware and glassware into dishwasher;
• Scrubs pots;
• Unloads dishwasher and stores contents in proper locations;
• Cleans counters, tables and chairs;
• Cleans ovens, grill, deep fat fryer and steam tables;
• Sweeps, scrubs and mops floors;
• Cleans walls, windows and ledges;
• Drains and cleans dishwashing machine.
• Provides assistance to cooks, as instructed to include, but not limited to:
• May wash and slice vegetables;
• May carve meat and portion items;
• May wrap food items for serving or storage;
• May set up, tear down and replenish food lines;
• May gather ingredients.
• Uses safety/sanitation procedures to protect self and others.

Other information:

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Food Handlers Certificate within 6 months of hire.
