Pay Range: $50-$53/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 6+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database installation, administration, performance tuning, security, backup and recovery, high availability, and production support. The role requires expertise in administering enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL , ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise database environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability, implementing performance tuning and optimization strategies.
• Manage database backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity processes.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations, and version management.
• Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with organizational security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, incidents, and production outages.
• Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) solutions, replication, and failover mechanisms.
• Support production deployments, release management, and application integration activities.
• Develop and maintain database administration standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, DevOps, and support teams to optimize database performance.
• Perform capacity planning, storage management, and database growth forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and security requirements.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of Database Administration experience.
• Strong expertise in one or more enterprise databases:
  • Oracle Database
  • Client SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
• Strong experience with:
  • Database Performance Tuning & Optimization
  • SQL Query Optimization
  • Backup & Recovery
  • High Availability (HA)
  • Disaster Recovery (DR)
  • Database Security & User Access Management
  • Database Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  • Production Support & Incident Management
• Experience administering databases on Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.

• Cloud database administration:
  • AWS RDS

• Oracle RAC
• Oracle Data Guard
• SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
• Database automation using Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with database replication and migration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of enterprise Database Administration experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical production environments.
