Epidemiologist III

Position Objective Lead and execute advanced epidemiologic analyses and data-driven products for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) supporting investigations, dashboards, publications, and rapid-turn decision support. Duties and Responsibilities Perform and guide complex analytic work (multivariate models, study design support, power calculations). Develop analytic datasets, documentation, and repeatable pipelines/code. Provide quality assurance guidance to ensure data integrity and consistency. Produce dashboards/visualizations and briefing materials for leadership. Support manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and clearance-ready deliverables. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 3 to 10 years of demonstrated experience performing advanced epidemiologic/statistical analyses Bachelor's degree in public health or related field Proficiency in SAS and/or R for analysis and reporting Strong ability to translate analysis into clear written products and briefings Ability to work cross-functionally with CDC stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and data security Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust suitability and comply with CDC policies Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in public health or related field Experience with clinical data, surveillance platforms, and data modernization alignment Experience with Power BI/Tableau and developing dashboards for program use Experience facilitating rapid turnaround for complex documents and clearance workflows * This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by this position.
