Direct Hire Machine Shop Manager

Pay: $70,000-$90,000 annually

Hours: 6 a.m.- to be determined

Machine Shop Manager Details:

• Plans and directs production to obtain maximum utilization of assigned employees and materials and to ensure on time shipment of parts meeting customer’s specifications
• Coordinates supply of raw materials, and perishable tools
• Revising working practices and observes employees to ensure compliance with standards
• Inspects equipment to ensure specific operational performance
• Coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance with Maintenance personnel to ensure minimum downtime.
• Informs General Manager of employee problems that require his/her attention and the disposition of resolved minor problems
• Provides hands on departmental instruction and training
• Follows company’s performance appraisal policy and recommends merit increases, promotions, transfers and other personnel actions for assigned personnel.

Machine Shop Manager Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. 
• A.S. in Mechanical technology or B.S. degree in engineering with a focus on particular process
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing company specializing in CNC machining
• Technical experience in CNC machining/programming preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, email, and Outlook. 
• Familiarity with an ERP system such as Syteline or SAP etc. 
• Five (5) years of production management experience
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed
