Job Summary

Growing Minds Early Learning Academy is seeking an experienced, dependable, and passionate Preschool Lead Teacher for our 3–4-year-old classroom.

We are looking for an educator with strong classroom management skills, creativity, and a commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Promote early literacy, mathematics, and kindergarten readiness.
• Maintain classroom routines, positive behavior guidance, and active supervision.
• Document children's progress and communicate with families.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Use Brightwheel for attendance and classroom documentation.
• Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other classrooms when needed.
• Follow NC childcare licensing regulations and center policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 completed college credit hours in Early Childhood Education (EDU) or qualifying related coursework.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Experience teaching children ages 3–4.
• Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
• Dependable, professional, and flexible.

Preferred: Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Required Documentation & Certifications

Applicants must have or be able to obtain the following within applicable onboarding and licensing deadlines:

• Employee Medical Report and TB Screening
• NC CBC Qualification Letter
• NC WORKS Qualification Letter
• Health and Safety Training
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
• ITS-SIDS Training
• Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment Training
