Weekend Admission/ Reception

Ensign Services

Responsibilities Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from supervisor and as outlined in established policies and procedures. Operate paging/telephone system as required; answer calls, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department. Receive requests within facility, locate personnel via paging system. Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintain a current listing of critical residents and/or residents who may not receive phone calls due to their condition; refer such calls to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse. Greet and screen visitors; direct to appropriate office or resident room; screen visitors according to facility infection patrol standards. Provide directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.; offer beverages to visitors waiting for administrative personnel when appropriate. Issue and collect identification badges as representatives sign in/out; ensure guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed; report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately. Assist with administrative duties as directed: typing, filing, posting accounts, etc.; receive, sort and distribute mail; operate copier, office machines, computer; order supplies. Assist department directors in administrative matters, e.g., typing reports, correspondence. Conduct bedside or other location‑specific review and evaluation of patients for admission suitability and patient care purposes. Provide written, electronic, or other formatted materials that educate on facility services and operations. Participate in touring and orientation of potential residents/family members; welcome and facilitate new admits into the skilled nursing setting, with education and follow‑up as necessary. Assist in the facilitation of necessary services and coordination with all patient care departments for new admits. Assist the Director of Community Liaison in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing social service programs related to admissions. Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, and related departments to plan social services for pre‑ and post‑admission needs. Assist families and residents in executing required admission documents. Participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident and family services and needs. Assist in discharge planning, development, and implementation of social care plans and resident assessment as needed. Qualifications Part‑time, 8‑hour shift, Friday‑Sunday schedule. Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification is a plus; CPR certification required. Strong customer service experience and ability to serve and interact with the community. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Benefits Competitive pay range: $24.00–$26.00 per hour. 401(k) plan. Paid sick time off.
