Visiting Professor of Math

Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population Teach assigned courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements Develop course syllabi and lesson plans Apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives Develop and provide approved course syllabi with terminal course objectives Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting Ensure examinations align with course terminal objectives Prepare and grade examinations consistently and fairly Provide timely feedback to students Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools Complete other duties as assigned Requirements Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught Applicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply Requisite subject matter expertise Outstanding communication skills Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in instructional design and delivery, with a focus on developing course syllabi, lesson plans, and integrating responsible AI technologies into teaching.
