What You Will Do: As the Human Resources Manager, you will manage, administer, and support the HR activities and initiatives for Ironwood Plastics that will align the workforce with organizational goals and objectives. Your Accountabilities in the Role: Manages and supports the organization’s HR and safety practices, policies and programs, to align with business goals and the needs of multiple locations. Researches and recommends new or enhanced HR practices, policies, or programs, ensuring approved changes are effectively implemented and communicated across the business. Oversees and maintains HR and safety records required by law, including but not limited to: Aff. Action Plan, Vest 100 & 100A, Tier 11 & TRI Environmental reporting; EEOC, MIOSHA 300 & 300A. Ensures legal compliance, maintains records, and protects confidential information. Assists with developing and maintaining job descriptions, ensuring roles are properly classified and compliant with federal and state requirements. Prepares HR related reports, budgets, and conducts research concerning compensation planning. Leads performance management initiatives, promoting consistent use of tools and assessments to develop leaders and measure team members’ progress toward business goals. Develops career development and training plans and programs to build skills, support succession planning, and create advancement opportunities. Manages and supports recruiting activities, partnering with hiring managers to ensure effective hiring. Oversee onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and employee transitions, including coordination of leaves of absence and other milestones. Manages, collaborates, and supportsthe management team ontough employee issues, investigations, and transitions providing recommendations and guidance on effective solutions and/or appropriate actions, ensuring thorough documentation, investigation and policy/procedure compliance. Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, HR or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience within human resources, managing various HR functions within a manufacturing environment; 4 years of industry experience preferred. Certification(s): SHRM-CP or PHR preferred; or willingness to obtain. Functional Skills: Experienced with managing and supporting the HR activities and initiatives around Talent Management, Recruiting, Employee Relations and HR practice, policy and process compliance within a multi-location manufacturing environment; Previous experience with HR and Safety reporting; ability to provide exceptional employee support and guidance while becoming a trusted resource and building effective partnerships within each location and throughout the organization; ability to listen and solve problems calmly, objectively, and effectively with solid reasoning to be able to make good decisions; great with project management, prioritization, managing details, and follow-through, with an excellent ability to research, develop and recommend new HR practices/policies or processes that can drive the business through people. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Previous experience with HRIS applications and ability to learn proprietary software required; Proficient with Microsoft Office. Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written skillset; able to present and train leaders on new HR policies; Calm and open communicator.
