What you'll do:

• Lead and perform mold remediation and water mitigation/extraction on residential and light commercial jobs
• Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers) and track moisture readings through to a verified dry standard
• Build and maintain containment, follow PPE protocols, and carry out controlled demolition when a job calls for it
• Perform HEPA vacuuming, surface cleaning, and other remediation steps to proper source-removal standards — not shortcuts like fogging or spraying in place of physical removal
• Document the job thoroughly: photos, moisture maps, equipment logs, and daily monitoring notes
• Communicate professionally and calmly with clients on-site about what's being done and why
• Help train and direct other techs on the job as the team grows
• Keep the truck/van stocked, organized, and job-ready

What we're looking for:

• Required: real hands-on experience with tools and physical work — comfortable with a hammer, pry bar, and tape measure from day one. Ideally from mold remediation, water restoration, framing/construction, or HVAC specifically, but strong general hands-on trade experience (handyman, demo, general labor) is also welcome
• Naturally clean and meticulous — someone who keeps a job site, a vehicle, and their own work organized without being told to
• Real tenacity and a strong attitude — someone who pushes a hard, hot, or tedious job through to done instead of cutting it short
• Comfortable working in tight, hot, or dusty spaces (attics, crawlspaces) and lifting/moving equipment (50+ lbs)
• Valid Florida driver's license and a clean-enough driving record to be covered on company insurance
• Able to pass a background check
• Someone who takes ownership — shows up, follows through, and doesn't need to be micromanaged
• A team player who can also lead when needed
• IICRC certifications (WRT, AMRT) a plus, but not required — we'll help you get certified
• Pay & growth:
• Starting pay: $22/hr
• Performance review at 60 days, with a path to $25/hr for techs who are meeting expectations
• Real advancement path as the company grows (mirrors how the current Lead Tech/Operations Manager grew into that role from the field)
