The role emphasizes experience with trach cares, Bipap, stroke care, and IV titration.

• Position Description:
  Unit notes highlight that clinicians must adhere to local call-off policies, complete 12 hours of non-billable orientation hours, and submit the last four digits of their Social Security Number, along with verification of active Illinois license or initiation of license application. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, primarily caring for patients with diagnoses including stroke, cardiac conditions, sepsis, and surgical needs.
• Required Qualifications:
  Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation of application process, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), experience with trach cares, Bipap, stroke, IV titration, and a minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Schedule:
  Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  RNs are expected to troubleshoot ventilator equipment (Cpap, Bipap, high flow devices). The unit utilizes EPIC charting system. The position operates on a 12-hour night shift schedule with a weekend rotation and every other holiday requirement, including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day/Holidays Eve. There is no call or standby requirement.
