This outpatient cancer treatment center operates as part of a large group practice and maintains an affiliation with a local hospital, providing specialized hematology and oncology services within a structured clinic environment. The facility is supported by a clinical team that includes a medical assistant and a nurse practitioner, with the NP managing hospital-based patient encounters. Established clinical protocols are in place to support coordinated oncologic care delivery throughout the covered assignment period.

The area surrounding this assignment is a coastal community that offers clinicians access to a range of outdoor and leisure activities. Options include dolphin watching cruises, waterfront dining, and water-based recreation along the nearby shore. The area also hosts community events such as food festivals, arts and crafts markets, and live entertainment, with free attractions including a planetarium and a wildlife park available during time away from clinical duties.

Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage at two clinic locations, working day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with coverage dates distributed as follows: October 12 and 19 at one location, and October 15, 22, and 26 at a second location. The primary purpose of the on-site physician presence is to facilitate the administration of chemotherapy, with outpatient follow-up visits comprising the clinical workload; no new consults are expected. The scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic follow-up cases for an adult patient population, with 12-14 patient encounters anticipated per day. No call or weekend coverage is required for this assignment.
