Registered Nurse - Day Shift - 13 Week ContractThe Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering superior quality care by embracing the core values of the organization. The primary focus is to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, following established safety guidelines while providing comprehensive nursing assessments and individualized patient care.ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, establishing individualized care plans.Identify patient and family education needs and set teaching goals based on nursing assessments.Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize patient education.Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission, ensuring effective communication regarding patient status and care continuity.Provide training and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures regarding personal and environmental safety.Contribute to a positive work environment through team building activities and effective communication with all staff members.Assume charge responsibilities as requested and engage in ongoing professional development.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBLS Certification required prior to first shift.ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (location specific).Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.ScheduleThis position requires a full-time commitment of 48 hours per week, with shifts being 4x12 hours.
