Summary Adjunct Faculty refers to an educator hired to teach on a course-by-course basis throughout an academic year. Duties & Responsibilities Teach up to seven semester credit hours (up to two courses) within the discipline, delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online, during day and/or evening. Develop and manage the class syllabus, ensuring it meets department and college standards. Plan and create lectures, discussions, and assignments. Assess student grades based on participation, assignments, and exams. Assist and mentor students as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Education: Master's degree in Social Work with at least 18 graduate hours in the field for undergraduate teaching, or a terminal degree in the field or closely related for graduate teaching. Knowledge/Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to: Multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Preferred Qualifications Current relevant professional credentials. Experience in college or university teaching. Evidence of teaching excellence. Relevant industry experience. Online or hybrid teaching experience.
