Join our Team! The Big Chill 30A is a family friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts 5 restaurants, 3 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music and a 25 LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round, from 7am to 10pm. We are now hiring for the spring/summer season and offering a $500 HIRING BONUS ! Open positions include both Line Cooks and Line Cook TRAINERS (depending on experience). Our restaurant concepts include Duos All-American Grill , Local Smoke BBQ , Mile Marker 15 and Tackle Box, all with unique menu offerings. We have both Full Time and Part Time positions available and offer flexible scheduling for students/seasonal employees. *The Hiring Bonus will be paid out as follows: $100 after 30 days, $200 after 90 days and $200 after 180 days. Responsibilities:
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Prepare all food to company standards by following company menu training and proper cooking instructions
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
- Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation according to recipes and spec sheets
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure quality and consistency
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and storage
- Assist with prep work and cleaning duties as needed
- Previous experience at a high-volume restaurant preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler certification a plus (we will provide training for your certification)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
