About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: Full-time Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS; NRP Must-Have: Previous RN - Labor & Delivery experience Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Identifies and meets personal learning needs and attends relevant education programs. Uses patient education materials and assesses readiness to learn. Identifies patient outcomes and revises care plans as needed. Collaborates with the team to evaluate care and ensure continuity. Provides safe, competent care for patients with complex needs. Performs point-of-care testing and follows standards and policies. Organizes and prioritizes care; consults resources for complex issues. Sets and achieves professional growth goals; supports unit objectives. Communicates effectively and gives feedback to coworkers. Promotes safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care. Assesses patient needs, anticipates discharge, and supports family advocacy. Plans care collaboratively, using multidisciplinary resources and cultural awareness. Stays informed through journals and shares ideas for practice improvement.
