Primary Responsibilities
- Provides pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and cost-effective medication use.
- Reviews patient-specific information, verifies medication orders, and oversees medication preparation, dispensing, distribution, and monitoring.
- Collaborates with physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, patients, and caregivers to provide clinical guidance and medication education.
- Promotes quality, safety, and cost-effective medication utilization through continuous evaluation and improvement of pharmacy practices.
- Oversees and directs pharmacy technicians and other staff within the assigned area.
- Provides training, education, and preceptorship to new team members, students, and other learners as assigned.
- Participates in direct patient care and supports pharmacy operations across applicable settings.
- Ensures compliance with department policies, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and other applicable standards.
Work Experience
Education & Experience - Required
- Doctorate of Pharmacy Required (PharmD) unless graduated from U.S. School of Pharmacy in or before 2003 OR Foreign Equivalent.
- Maryland Pharmacist License.
Education & Experience - Preferred
- 1 year of experience preferred.

Compensation
- Pay Range: $57.13-$85.75
