Job Details: Job Location: Vernon - Vernon, AL 35592, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: First Shift - 7AM-3PM, Ability to work independently, execute, and follow up on needed mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, preventative maintenance on machines used to manufacture various components for metal storage buildings in addition to new installations in an industrial setting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Complete daily work logs as well as use a maintenance software to close out Work requests and PM’s. Respond to radio calls regarding facilities issues or machine breakdowns. Be able to safely operate a forklift. Work with electricity, which includes high voltage (up to 480 volts), running new lines, troubleshooting machine issues, changing fuses, etc. Troubleshoot mechanical issues independently. This may include changing a gear box, sprocket and chain, dies and punches, etc. These may have to be lifted independently from odd angles. Troubleshoot and replace hydraulic and pneumatic components such as cylinders, accumulators, valves, etc. Complete facility assignments including, but not limited to: plunging toilets, mopping, shoveling snow, cleaning gutters, cleaning drains, salting ice, etc. Be able to work comfortably and safely at heights. Must be able to use Multimeter in order to safely work on electrical projects. Familiar with lock-out-tag-out with a strong understanding of safe practices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of five (5) years experience in related field, including high school diploma or work equivalent. Strong electrical and mechanical experience along with pneumatic and hydraulic hands on experience. Demonstrated ability in utilizing math skills daily. Ability to work unsupervised, self-starter, team environment and able to handle deadline pressure. Must provide own basic hand tools.
