Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU to provide exceptional post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care and recovery room experience, excellent clinical assessment skills, and Epic EMR experience. This role is responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, managing post-operative care, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor recovery status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as ordered.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• Recent Epic EMR experience required.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Current BLS , ACLS , and NIHSS certifications.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
