Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

Atlanta, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 36-bed pediatric emergency department with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Administer and manage drips and medications including insulin drips, sedation drips, and resuscitation medications (all medications except chemotherapy)
• Operate ventilators, including the Hamilton T1, as needed
• Care for patients presenting with common pediatric diagnoses such as sickle cell pain/fever, asthma, behavioral health concerns, DKA, AGE, and fever
• Maintain IV access skills and perform related procedures as required
• Float to other campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must pass a drug screen; this is a nicotine-free facility
• Influenza vaccine is mandatory — no exceptions or declinations accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Emergency Department experience highly preferred
• Trauma Nursing Core Course ( TNCC ) certification is a strong plus
