It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesShipping and Receiving Greet and direct delivery drivers to dock areaReceive, inspect for damage, record and tag for inventory tracking purposesInspect, load and secure outgoing freight and record as necessary for inventory tracking purposesSort and place freight in designated areas according to warehouse standards/requirementsInventory Controls Assist in maintaining an organized warehouseAssist in maintaining proper inventory controls of consumables; order and restock as neededUnder direction of warehouse supervisor or superintendent, conduct periodic physical inventory countsBuilding, Office, Warehouse and Grounds Maintenance Perform light housekeeping and spill clean-up as needed in officeResolve routine office maintenance and warehouse equipment issuesEmpty trash into dumpsters, ensure parking lot cleanlinessStock restrooms when paper products are lowWear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and request same from employees, delivery drivers and customersConsistent and prompt attendance, is reliable and dependablePerform other duties as assigned and/or requested by Supervisors, Superintendents, Foreman, Managers and Office PersonnelRequired Experience and/or EducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic mechanical skills requiredValid Driver's LicenseForklift Operator Certification Preferred1-2 yrs. previous warehouse experienceGood verbal and written communication, organizational, time management & mathematical skillsBasic computer skillsTeam player, seeks out work rather than waiting to be told what to doLanguage Skills:Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English.Mathematical Skills:Must have mathematical skills equivalent to those required under degree requirement.Physical and Visual Activities:Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Acuity-Far, Acuity-Near, Depth Perception, and Field of Vision.Physical Demands:The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance.Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather); risk of electrical shock; work with explosives and risk of radiation.
