System Engineer

Job Type: Full-time Workplace Type: Hybrid for team members within 45 miles of Independence, OH or Emerald Isle, NC offices (Mon & Fri remote, Tue–Thu onsite); otherwise fully remote from East Coast states (AR, AZ, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WI, WV). Work Hours: Standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET, with core business hour collaboration and flexible options when possible. Travel: Up to 10% for quarterly team meetings. Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus and comprehensive benefits. Benefits Generous Paid Time Off: 3 weeks PTO first year, 4 weeks second year. Volunteer Time Off: Up to 20 hours annually. Summer Fridays: Half‑day Fridays in summer (schedule permitting). Hybrid work options for eligible locations. About the Role Systems Engineer – responsible for developing and automating internal systems, building functionality and integrations across Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations, and supporting corporate reporting. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Develop solutions enhancing legal, operations, billing, and corporate reporting tools. Build integrations between custom and third‑party applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions, integrations, or reports. Analyze, design, implement, and support data models, dashboards, and reports. Provide troubleshooting and rapid issue resolution for internal users. Support internal operations teams and resolve production issues. Document and train end users on new features. Work within an agile product development methodology. Identify and roadmap future features. Understand database development and build ETL packages. Collaborate in a team environment to design, build, test, and support internal applications. Meet project deadlines to stay on time and budget. Demonstrate teamwork, openness, readiness, and flexibility. Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational vision and values. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as PowerBI (required). Proficiency in C# or Python (required). Experience integrating line‑of‑business systems preferred. Knowledge of relational databases, especially Azure SQL, preferred. Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework and/or .NET Core – plus. Experience with DevOps fundamentals – plus. Familiarity with Azure services such as Data Factory, App Services/Functions, Application Insights, Key Vault, Storage Account, Log Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Entra ID (plus). Knowledge of ORM and microservices/REST APIs (preferred). Understanding of user authentication and authorization across systems and environments.
