Controls Specialist / Programmer – Houston, TX – $85,000–$115,000 + Bonus About the Opportunity: A Tier-1 Technology and Integration firm is seeking an experienced Controls Specialist / BAS Programmer with project coordination skills to support enterprise-level Building Automation System (BAS) initiatives throughout the Houston metro. This hybrid role blends hands-on programming with light project oversight, offering a mix of technical work and team collaboration. Position Details: Title: Controls Specialist / Programmer (Hybrid – Programming & Project Coordination) Location: Houston, TX Status: Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Develop BAS applications using project schematics, standards, and design documentation Write, revise, and implement sequences of operation Build, configure, and upload BAS databases Program systems using Script/Line or Function Block/Graphical methods Integrate devices and sub-systems via BACnet, Modbus, LON, and similar protocols Configure and work across various BAS control platforms Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, and internal stakeholders VPN into customer sites for updates, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Set up alarms, trends, dashboards, and system monitoring tools Assist with commissioning, equipment startup, and project turnover activities Provide technical guidance to field technicians as required Ideal Candidate: Hands-on BAS programming experience (scripted or block-based) Preferred: Background with Tridium Niagara integration tools Experience with HVAC controls, system integration, or project coordination Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary: $85,000–$115,000 (DOE) Bonus: Performance-Based Incentive Retirement: 401(k) with 6% Company Match Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability Coverage Time Off: Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Leave Tools Provided: Company Vehicle or Car Allowance, Laptop, Phone If you’re looking to expand your responsibilities while staying hands-on with advanced BAS technologies, this hybrid role offers strong growth potential in a rapidly evolving Houston market. #J-18808-Ljbffr ControlsJobs
