Public Defender Attorney I/II — Advocate for Justice

The Virginia Indigent Defense Commission (IDC) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Public Defender I/II in Portsmouth. The attorney will handle criminal cases for adults and juveniles in various stages of litigation and will work on-site with the Portsmouth Public Defender Office. Qualifications include a Juris Doctor, Virginia State Bar admission, and at least two years of criminal defense experience for the II level; strong writing, oral advocacy, and the ability to manage #J-18808-Ljbffr Commonwealth of Virginia
