Job Title: Mower Technician
Department: Grounds Maintenance/Landscaping
Reports To: Grounds Supervisor or Property Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Mower Technician to join our grounds maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of lawns, landscaped areas, and outdoor spaces through mowing, trimming, edging, and general grounds upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience operating landscaping equipment and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate commercial lawn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Mow grass and maintain lawns according to established schedules and quality standards.
• Trim grass, weeds, shrubs, and vegetation around buildings, sidewalks, fences, and landscaped areas.
• Edge sidewalks, curbs, and driveways to maintain a neat appearance.
• Remove debris, leaves, litter, and other materials from grounds and common areas.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of landscaping equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to management.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping projects, including mulching, planting, pruning, and leaf removal.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude while working on company properties.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, lawn care, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining property appearance.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to safely operate power equipment and hand tools.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor work environment.
• Exposure to noise, dust, pollen, grass clippings, and varying weather conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial landscaping equipment.
• Knowledge of lawn care and grounds maintenance practices.
• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
