Field Tech Engineer II

Field Tech Engineer II position in Farmington, NM

This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience supporting cellular networks, including cell site maintenance , microwave systems, DC power systems, fiber optics , and network troubleshooting. The position involves preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment installation and upgrades, disaster recovery support , drive testing, alarm response , and on-call network restoration activities.

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with a wireless carrier

• Experience with cellular base station equipment ( BTS)

• Knowledge of microwave systems, DC power systems, fiber optics, and data backhaul

• Ability to troubleshoot network and site equipment independently

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred:

• Tower climbing experience (not required)

The position requires a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings , weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation.
