Community Engagement Coordinator

Position: Community Engagement Coordinator Location: Nashville, TN Salary Range: $42,000/yr Benefits: Health Insurance Dental and Vision Benefits are available Summary The Community Engagement Coordinator leads initiatives that expand access to NCT programming through community partnerships, Drama School Scholarships, residency programs, grant-funded initiatives, and school-based engagement. This role manages relationships with partner organizations, coordinates educational programming and events, supports data collection and grant reporting, and helps ensure equitable access to arts education experiences across the community. Key Responsibilities Community Programs & Access Initiatives Oversee our NEST (NCT Education Supported Tuition) program, including applications, tracking, reporting, ProClass registration, and family communication/support. Propose, develop, and coordinate community-based programming, including in-school and out-of-school residencies, workshops, Discovery Days, and grant-funded sites. Lead implementation of grant-funded initiatives (e.g., sensory room, AAIN, Pathways programs, and other arts access projects). Coordinate extended learning opportunities, including lobby pre-show activities, educator events, and community engagement events. Partnership Management & Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for community and school partners. Manage partnership logistics, including agreements, quotes, invoices, teaching artist (TA) assignments, training, and materials for festivals and outreach events. Attend partnership meetings with schools and community organizations. Support partner events when possible (e.g., Family Fun Nights, Literacy Days, Family Concert Days). Program Development & Instructional Support Develop curriculum and content for community programming initiatives independently and in partnership with teaching artists. Provide professional development and support for school teachers and NCT teaching artists as needed. Serve as liaison and coordinator for teaching artists assigned to community partnerships. Data, Reporting & Evaluation Collect, organize, and analyze program data, surveys, and feedback to support reporting and grant applications. Maintain accurate records to support evaluation of community engagement and access initiatives. Administrative & Collaborative Roles Support NCT Drama School camps and other programming as needed. Collaborate with different departments to support company-wide initiatives (fundraisers, social media incentives, Education and Production crossovers, etc.). Communications & Outreach Create content for Drama School social media and community engagement communications. Support promotional outreach efforts at festivals, events, and community gatherings. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers supporting community engagement initiatives. Reporting Structure Reports to: Director of Education (Tosha Marie) Supervises: Education Teaching Artists Assigned to Community Contracts Collaborates with: Education Engagement Coordinator, Director of Development Qualifications Experience working with schools, community organizations, or arts-based learning environments Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple programs and deadlines simultaneously Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, educators, and community stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience collecting, organizing, and reporting program data for internal use and grant reporting Proficiency with standard office and data tools (Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, and database or CRM systems) Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events, performances, and community programs Experience with graphic design and creative formatting platforms like Canva Experience working in theatre education, performing arts organizations, or youth arts programming (preferred) Experience developing curriculum or educational workshop content Experience supervising or coordinating teaching artists, contractors, or volunteers Strong understanding of equitable access practices in arts education or community programming Comfort managing both administrative tasks and on-the-ground program implementation Social media or basic marketing/content creation experience for program outreach Spanish language proficiency or other community-relevant language skills are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
