Inventory Control Specialist

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support manufacturing operations. This role involves non-bill-of-materials purchasing, inventory management, and administrative support for various departments. The specialist will collaborate with leadership to manage inventory and purchasing activities, ensuring materials flow efficiently to meet scheduled commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-bill-of-materials purchasing activities for manufacturing, pilot, safety, training, and engineering organizations.
• Verify ordering and receivables data to ensure accuracy.
• Develop and report on inventory activity performance against targets to the leadership team.
• Ensure incoming materials are properly routed and monitor the flow of materials between departments.
• Provide administrative and clerical support related to manufacturing and procurement activities.
• Maintain files, logs, records, and other documentation pertaining to material inventory.
• Assist with overall inventory management and control processes.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Two or more years of manufacturing experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive).
• Strong computer skills and proficiency.
• Effective communication skills, including written and verbal correspondence.
• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP and ordering platforms such as SAP, Appian, QuickBase, and Ariba.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to be onsite. Physical requirements include the ability to squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand, and reach for over 25% of the time. The role also requires the ability to lift 35 pounds and distinguish colors. The work schedule is a swing shift from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM PST, Tuesday through Saturday.
