If so, you could be a great fit for our Merchandising Specialist position at Plato's Closet! At Plato's, we buy and sell teen and young adult clothing. All day, customers bring in clothing to sell to us. We then turn around and put that clothing on the sales floor to sell. As a resale clothing store, we work really hard to make our product stand out as if it were new. As a Merchandising Specialist, this is where you'd shine. Between making eye‑catching displays for the current season, showing off our best merchandising for an upcoming event, or just wowing our color‑coordinated and organized selection of clothing, you would have a huge role in making our store pop. This is not a desk job. You'll be on your feet all day, every day, constantly working with clothing and thinking creatively to make it stand out. Responsibilities Think creatively to create eye‑catching displays of teen clothing and accessories Ensure our merchandising is promoting the most in‑demand clothing for the current season Work with our Inventory Team to determine what product needs to be showcased and merchandise the store accordingly Help customers find product on the floor Foster a positive, productive environment with your team and customers Foster a team culture that embraces our 7 Core Values Embrace change, take risks, and try new ideas to help our store grow and evolve Requirements Exceptional merchandising skills A friendly, positive personality Prior retail experience preferred, but not required Ability to focus and see a task through to completion Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environmentAble to stand for long periods of time and safely lift 50lbs without assistance If you'd enjoy being in this type of environment, please apply as we'd love to hear from you!
