PMO Training Analyst

Location: Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PMO Training Analyst to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for administrators and PMO professionals.

The consultant will work closely with organizational change management leadership to establish a PMO training strategy, course catalog, training schedule, and supporting learning materials focused on practical skills in project management, business process improvement, change management, and related PMO practices.

The role will also support the development of an internal professional development program for PMO staff, including recommended training requirements, annual learning expectations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Training Strategy & Program Development

• Partner with organizational change management leadership to develop the overall PMO training strategy and implementation plan.
• Develop a comprehensive course catalog for administrators and other organizational stakeholders.
• Create and maintain recurring training schedules.
• Develop an internal training and professional development plan for PMO staff.
• Define recommended annual training hours, required courses, and professional development opportunities.
• Assess training needs through stakeholder feedback, skills assessments, and organizational requirements.
• Recommend new courses and learning topics based on identified skill gaps and emerging needs.
• Establish scalable training processes that can be maintained and enhanced over time.

Training Content & Delivery

• Develop training programs covering:
  • Project Management

• Recommend appropriate learning formats based on audience and subject matter, including:
  • Instructor-led training
  • Workshops
  • Webinars
  • Self-paced courses
  • Short-form instructional videos
  • Office hours

• Create high-quality training materials, including:
  • Presentations
  • Facilitator guides
  • Exercises
  • Templates
  • Videos
  • Job aids and supporting resources
• Incorporate organization-specific examples, scenarios, and practical exercises into training content.
• Facilitate training sessions for administrators and PMO staff.
• Prepare PMO subject matter experts to effectively deliver training when appropriate.
• Ensure training materials are practical, accessible, and aligned with organizational processes and expectations.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

• Develop a straightforward approach for tracking training participation and completion.
• Collect and analyze participant feedback.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use feedback and performance data to refine existing courses and identify future training needs.
• Establish processes for keeping the course catalog, training schedule, and learning materials accurate and up to date.
• Continuously improve the training program based on organizational priorities and learner needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 7+ years of experience in training, instructional design, learning and development, project management, change management, organizational development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience building training programs from the ground up , including:
  • Training strategies
  • Course catalogs
  • Training schedules
  • Curriculum
  • Training materials
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design practices.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Project Management
  • Business Process Improvement
  • Change Management
  • PMO methodologies and practices
• Experience developing learning programs for different audiences and skill levels.
• Excellent writing, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into practical and easy-to-understand learning content.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and subject matter experts while independently managing deliverables and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience evaluating training effectiveness and incorporating feedback into program improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Prosci ADKAR or similar change management methodologies.
• Experience working within a higher education environment .
• Previous experience supporting a Project Management Office (PMO) .
• Experience working in a highly matrixed or complex organizational environment.
• Experience developing professional development programs for PMO, project management, or organizational change teams.
• Familiarity with modern learning technologies and blended learning approaches.
