Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Birmingham, AL. Known for its rich history and vibrant culture, Birmingham offers a unique blend of Southern charm and modern amenities, making it a great place to live and work.ResponsibilitiesMove, arrange, lift, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs.Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely on uneven and concrete surfaces.Utilize the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.Operate handheld scanners.Climb and balance on ladders.Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.QualificationsAbility to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.Capability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance.Proficiency in reading and writing English.Protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best" is required.Must be a U.S. Person to meet ITAR regulations.Work ScheduleNormal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
