Production Accounting Manager

: Permian Resources. (“PR”) (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Production Accounting Manager in our Midland, TX office. Reporting to the SVP of Production Operations, the Production Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production accounting team and ensuring quality data is collected and prepared across the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of process development and controls, project management, ability to delegate and reconcile assigned tasks for the team they will oversee. General Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of production accountants/analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their professional development.
• Manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports related to oil and gas production activities, ensuring time constraints, accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data for financial reporting purposes.
• Oversee production accounting data to recommend action for engineering evaluation.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements related to oil and gas production.
• Coordinate with regulatory representative and auditors to facilitate compliance audits.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to contribute to the development of production-related budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgeted and forecasted figures, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
• Act as lead liaison for production data and process development, control, and delivery to departments.
• Identify, build, and control process data for infrastructure, projects, and outputs.
• QCQA control for data sets prepared for and utilized by other departments within the Company.
• QCQA of date via review and follow up of exception reports.
• Oversee product launches, system conversions, and upgrades.
• Provide regular reporting of project status to management.
• Identify new products that improve efficiency or cost of data control and collection.
• Provide field support for training, troubleshooting, and data requisition.
• Oversee contractor vendors who support Production Accounting data platforms.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in oil and gas.
• Experience with P2 Merrick (or other equivalent Production Accounting Software), Wellview, and Spotfire given strong preference.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas accounting principles and oil and gas operations.
• Knowledge of local, state (TX and NM), and federal production reporting laws/regulations.
• Experience with Siteview and PetroRegs preferred.
• Regulatory knowledge pertaining to production accounting preferred.
• Strong project management skill set to manage teams to deliver projects/products in a timely manner.
