Description Senior Laboratory Assistant at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is full-time and will work 10-hour, Day shifts. The Senior Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the collections and processing of blood specimens, providing assessment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric in-patients, emergency room patients, and patients from other hospital services as needed. He/she will assist as necessary with outpatient specimen collection and processing. The inoculation of microbiology specimens onto primary media and the processing of specimens for referral testing are also responsibilities of the position. Required Qualifications: Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License, or Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License Preferred Qualifications: 1 year laboratory phlebotomy experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
