Confidential Opportunity – Enclosure Builder (MIG Welding / Fabrication)

Location: Itasca, IL

Compensation: $22–$28/hr (up to $30/hr based on experience) + Significant Overtime

Schedule: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 4:30 PM (typical), plus Saturdays as needed

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (strong long-term potential)

This is not a typical “production welding” job.

You’ll be joining a rapidly growing, well-established manufacturer supporting large-scale, high-profile data center infrastructure projects . The company is experiencing explosive growth, with revenue scaling from ~$30M to ~$80M+ in active orders—and continuing to climb.

They’ve recently secured major data center work tied to global tech leaders and are expanding facilities, adding headcount weekly, and investing heavily in long-term growth. This is a chance to get in early with a company that is scaling fast and retaining talent long-term.

We’re seeking a hands-on Enclosure Builder / Fabricator who takes pride in craftsmanship and precision. This role focuses on building custom industrial enclosures used in critical infrastructure environments.

You’ll work from detailed blueprints to fabricate, fit, and weld structural and sheet metal components—playing a key role in delivering high-quality, engineered systems.

• Perform MIG welding on sheet metal and structural components
• Read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints
• Measure, cut, and fit materials to tight tolerances
• Perform full-cycle fabrication: layout → fit-up → weld → assembly
• Use tools such as saws, grinders, drills, and precision measuring equipment
• Operate overhead cranes and other shop equipment safely
• Ensure structural integrity and alignment of custom-built enclosures

• 3–5+ years of welding/fabrication experience (non-production environment preferred)
• Strong blueprint reading skills (large assemblies a plus)
• Experience with precision measurement tools (tape, calipers, micrometers)
• Proven ability to weld to tight tolerances
• MIG welding required; TIG is a plus
• Comfortable with hands-on fabrication—not just repetitive welding
• Experience with mechanical assembly is highly preferred
• Willingness to work overtime (up to 60–65 hrs/week when ramped)
