This is a team that comes together to learn, collaborate, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for applicants that enjoy working with and learning from their peers and are not afraid to jump in and make a difference!Responsibilities will include:Develop and implement plans that ensure timely availability and effective utilization of labor, general facilities & space utilization, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestonesConduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints.May assist facility engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing areas.Provide capacity planning, shop-loading, and staffing analysis for functional production teams.Analyze existing operational processes and develop metrics to optimize and improve program & operational performance.May be required to support more than one product line and manufacturing area(s), as well as support multiple programs or production managers.Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performanceComplete time studies and follow through with action items resulting from the studyConduct process simulation as requested.Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (Level 2):Bachelor of Science degree with 2 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience; OR a Master of Science degree with 0 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experienceExperience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications e.g. Tableau, MS-Excel etc.Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance and special program accessAbility to travel up to 10%Basic Qualifications for Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 3):Bachelor of Science degree with 5 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience; OR a Master of Science degree with 3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience; OR a PhD degree with 0 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience.Experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications e.g. Tableau, MS-Excel etc.Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance and special program accessAbility to travel up to 10%Preferred Qualifications:STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree preferredExperience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environmentAt least 2 or more years of demonstrated experience leading project teamsExperience maintaining and developing SharePoint sitesExperience performing Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Experience with SQL, VBA, or other programming languagesExperience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, simulation methods or discreate event simulationExperience with agile methods of project management or developmentPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
