Director of Nursing (DON) Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center

Full-Time | Salary: Up to $160,000 + Performance Bonus

Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and oversee all nursing operations within our skilled nursing and subacute facility. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven nursing leader who is committed to delivering exceptional resident care, fostering staff development, and maintaining regulatory excellence.

As the Director of Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping clinical outcomes, supporting our dedicated nursing team, and driving a culture of quality, accountability, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing services and clinical operations.

• Ensure the highest standards of resident care and clinical excellence.

• Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.

• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Department of Health requirements.

• Lead quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention programs, and clinical performance metrics.

• Prepare for and successfully manage state surveys and regulatory inspections.

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure outstanding resident outcomes.

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, labor management, and departmental budgets.

• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Subacute Rehabilitation setting.

• Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing preferred.

• Strong understanding of CMS regulations, Department of Health survey processes, and quality assurance programs.

• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
